titleOfInvention DENTAL COMPOSITION TO REDUCE DENTINAL HYPERSENSITIVITY DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF EXPOSED DENTINAL SURFACE AND OPEN DENTINAL TUBES, USE OF A SYNERGIC COMBINATION OF A SENSITIZING AMOUNT OF AT LEAST A BLOCKING AGENT OF A TUBULATOR NEEDLE
abstract A composition for the treatment of sensitive teeth comprising a suitable vehicle and a desensitizing amount of: a) at least one tubular blocking agent preferably a combination of two such agents and b) a nerve desensitizing agent selected from the group formed by at least one potassium salt, at least one strontium salt, and mixtures thereof depositing or accumulating the blocking agent, of the tubules on the dentinal surface and / or precipitating in the dentinal tubes, retaining a greater concentration of the desensitizing agent of the nerve in the exposed dentinal surface and in the dentinal tubules. The compositions may also contain a source of physiologically acceptable fluoride ions such as stannous fluoride. Methods for using the present compositions in the treatment of sensitive teeth are also described.
