A bicyclic compound of the formula (1) where the ring containing the increase (NA) may be 5, 6 or 7 members and additionally may contain an oxygen or sulfur atom or a double CC bond, except for the skeleton of 1,4 benzoxazepine. A is carbonyl or sulfonyl, X is nitrogen, Y is CH2, CH2-CH2, CH2-CH2-CH2 or CH2-CH, Z is nitrogen, carbon or CH, being also possible for the bond between Y and Z to be a double bond, n is the number 2, 3 or 4, R 1 can be hydrogen, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy, C 1-4 alkoxy or amino, R 2 is phenyl, pyridyl, or pyrazinyl which can be monosubstituted or substituted by C1-4 alkyl, trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethoxy, hydroxyl, amino, monomethylamino, dimethylamino, cyano or nitro and may be fused with a benzene core, which may be monosubstituted or disubstituted by halogen, C1-4 alkyl, hydroxyl, trifluromethyl, C1 alkoxy -4, amino, cyano or nitro and may contain a nitrogen atom, or with a 5 or 6 membered ring that may contain 1 to 2 oxygen atoms, and physiologically tolerated salts thereof. Use of the above compounds to produce drugs for the prophylaxis and therapy of neurodegeneration, brain trauma and cerebral ischemia, in particular apopletic attack, or the sequelae that are induced by these diseases. |
