This refers to a novel process for the preparation of a diastereomeric mixture of piperidinylaminomethyl deformula (1) and (2) cyclic ether compounds and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R1 is C1-6 alkyl; R2 is C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl or substituted phenyl ofenyl; R3 is hydrogen or halo; m is zero, one or two, and said mixture being very enriched in the compound of formula (1), and an innovative procedure for the preparation and purification of intermediate compounds useful in the preparation of the compounds of formulas (1) and (2) . |
