titleOfInvention POLYMER IN ANIONIC OR NON-IONIC DISPERSION SOLUBLE IN WATER AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION.
abstract A water-soluble, high molecular weight dispersion polymer having a global Brookfield viscosity of 10 to 25,000 cps at 25sC, characterized in that it comprises 5 to 50 percent by weight of a water soluble polymer prepared by polymerization under conditions of polymerization. formation of free radicals in an aqueous solution of a salt in water in the presence of a stabilizer at a pH greater than 5: i) 0-30 percent in mol of at least one monomeroanionic and ii) 100-70 mol percent of at least one non-ionic monomer; wherein the stabilizer is a water-soluble anionic polymer that has an intrinsic viscosity in 1M NaNO3 of 0.1-10 and comprises 0.1 to about 5 percent by weight, based on the dispersion pesototal and the soluble salt in Water is selected from the group consisting of halides, sulfates and phosphates of ammonium, alkali metal and alkaline earth metal and comprises approximately 5 to about 40 percent by weight, based on the weight of the dispersion. A procedure for its preparation is also described.
