abstract | It is the preparation of the S - (+) - Mandelic acid salt of N-methyl-3R-hydroxy-3-phenylpropylamine, which comprises reacting N-methyl-3 (R, S) -hydroxy-3 -phenylpropylamine and the R (-) - Mandelic acid salt of N-methyl-3S-hydroxyphenylpropylamine 3 (R, S) -hydroxy-3-phenylpropylamine with S - (+) mandelic acid respectively with R (-) acid -mandelic. The mentioned salts and processes for producing N-methyl-3R- (2-methylthiophenoxy) -3-phenylpropylamine and N-methyl-3R- (2-methylphenoxy) -3-phenylpropylamine are also described and claimed using the aforementioned enantiomeric salts and a procedure for the preparation of S-fluoxetine of formula (c) by reacting a) the salt R (-) (+) N-methyl-3-S-hydroxy-3-phenylpropylamine mandelate with a base (a) to form the compounds (formula a) and react this compound with 4-trifluoromethylhalobenzene: formula (b), where X is fluorine or chlorine. |
