A PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING STABILIZED FIBER TAKEN IN SOLUTION, AN IMPROVED PROCEDURE FOR SPINNING NYLON FIBERS TAKEN IN SOLUTION AND THE NYLON FIBERS SO OBTAINED |
abstract |
A fiber in solution or in stabilized mass is manufactured by fusion of a polyamide which is a polymerized amide monomer in the presence of at least one mono- or dicarboxylic acid chain regulator and at least one hindered piperidine compound, coloration of the molten polyamide and spinning of the colored polyamide in fibers having a retained toughness of approx. 40% or better, after an exposure of 2125 kJ to xenon arc radiation according to the AATCC test method 16-1993 Color fastness to light Option E. Copper stabilizers are not necessary. |
