titleOfInvention METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING A COMPOUND THAT ASSOCIATES WITH ALFA-TNF CONVERSING ENZYME
abstract A method for identifying a compound that is associated with the alpha-TNF converting enzyme (TACE) is revealed. A dealfa-TNF converting enzyme polypeptide is produced in crystalline form in a single composition. The polypeptide preferably comprises the catalytic domain of TACE. You can also understand the pro and catalytic domains of TACE. The polypeptide can be encoded by amino acid residues 1-477 of the TACE, may also include simple amino acid changes and additional fused sequences of Gly-Ser (His) 6 in the C terminal. A partner in the union during co-crystallization with the TACE polypeptide can be included in the composition. The Crystal in the composition preferably has a crystalline structure that diffracts at 2.0Angstrom. The X-ray diffraction coordinates of the crystalline structure are also revealed. The compound is designated according to these coordinates so that it forms a link with TACE. The compound is subsequently synthesized and its ability to associate with TACE is determined.
