titleOfInvention | A COMPOSITION OF MOTOR GASOLINE FORMULATED WITHOUT LEAD. |
abstract | A lead-free formulated gasoline composition comprising a base mix composition having an Engine Octane (MON) index ranging from 80 to less than 98, comprising, as component (a) at least 5% (by volume of the total composition) of at least one hydrocarbon having the following formula 1: R-CH2-CH (CH3) -C (CH3) 2-CH3 wherein R is hydrogen or methyl and as component (b) at least one aliphatic hydrocarbon saturated liquid that has 4 to 12 carbon atoms. The corresponding unleaded engine gasoline composition also comprises at least one engine paragasoline additive. The mixture or gasoline preferably contains at least one component selected from the group consisting of aromatic compounds, olefins, and mixtures thereof. Gasolines or mixtures give rise, after combustion, to lower levels of emissions in the exhaust gases, in particular carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide and total hydrocarbon s. A gasoline base mixture composition for unleaded engine for use in the gasoline composition comprises the components (a) and (b) mentioned. The use of the compound of formula 1 consists in the preparation of the composition of unleaded gasoline. One method of reducing exhaust gas emissions in the combustion of unleaded gasoline fuels with a MON ranging from 80 to less than 98 comprises incorporating a compound of formula 1 into a fuel. The use of unleaded gasoline composition in a spark ignition decombustion engine is to reduce exhaust gas emissions. |
