titleOfInvention A COMPOSITION THAT INCLUDES AN OIL ABSORBENT AGENT, A METHOD FOR ABSORBING NON-DIGERATED AND NON-DIGERABLE FAT AND THE USE OF AN OIL AGENT IN THE MANUFACTURE OF A COMPOSITION.
abstract A composition comprising an oil absorbing agent that is adapted to release said agent into the small or large intestine. The composition preferably comprises a core containing the oil absorbing agent and an outer shell of an enteric material such as an enteric polymer that prevents release of the oil absorbing agent until the composition reaches the small or large intestine. The oil-absorbent material is preferably selected from the group consisting of microcrystalline chitosan, calcium silicate, aluminum silica gel or microcrystalline cellulose. The composition is intended to absorb undigested and non-digestible fats from the small or large intestine.
