titleOfInvention COMPOSITION FOR CLEANING A FABRIC OR SURFACE, METHODS FOR CLEANING A FABRIC OR SURFACE, AND METHOD FOR PRE-TREATING STAINS ON FABRIC
abstract A liquid composition for cleaning a fabric or surface that comprises an enzyme that exhibits chloroperoxidase activity, a source of hydrogen peroxide, a chloride salt, and an adhesion agent that tends to locate the enzyme on the fabric or surface to be treated. Hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite are advantageously formed at or near the desired site of action, resulting in efficient bleaching. In addition, there are concerns about methods of cleaning a fabric or surface and a method of pre-treating stains on fabric. The enzyme is myeloperoxidase. The bonding agent is a surfactant. The chloride salt is sodium chloride.
