abstract | 1-Alkyl-4-benzoyl-5-hydroxy-pyrazole compounds characterized in that they have the formula (I), where: X represents F, Cl, Br, C1-C4 alkyl, OCH3, OC2H5, CH2OCH3, or CH (CH3 ) OCH3; Y represents CH3, C2H5, or CH (CH3) 2; z represents H or benzyl (which optionally have up to three ring substituents selected from F, Cl, Br, CN, CF3, NO2, CH3, C2H5, OCH3 and OC2H5; R represents C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C4 alkenyl, or C3-alkynyl C4; R represents H, CH2OCH3, or C1-C3 alkyl; and each Render slopes represents H or C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C4 alkenyl, or C3-C4 alkynyl (where each optionally possesses up to two substituents selected from Cl, Br, CN, alkoxy of one to 4 carbon atoms, and fluoroalkoxy C1-C3 and up to three substituents F) or benzyl (which optionally has up to three ring substituents selected from F, Cl, Br, CN, CF3, NO2, CH3, C2H5, OCH3, yOC2H5; provided that both R do not represent H; or NR2 represents unsubstituted and 4- to 7-membered aliphatic nitrogen heterocyclic which optionally possesses 0 as a second ring heteroatom, which optionally possesses a double bond, and optionally possesses up to three substituents selected from F, Cl, Br, CN, alq uil or C1-C4, fluoroalkyl C1-C3, alkoxy C1-C4, fluoroalkoxy C1-C3, alkoxymethyl C1-C3, and phenyl (optionally having up to three ring substituents selected from F, Cl, Br, CN, CF3, NO2, CH3, C2H5, OCH3, and OC2H5; or NR2 represents a part of pyrol-1-yl or pyrazol-1-yl optionally with up to two substituents selected from F, Cl, Br, I, CN, CF3, C1-C3 alkyl, and C1-C3 alkoxy; or when Z represents H, an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof.
