Long-term stabilization of the suspension has been achieved through the formulation of loteprednol etabonate with a mixture of microcrystalline cellulose-carmellose sodium. On the other hand, the resulting suspension has a greatly improved intranasal retention and does not cause skin or mucosal irritation.
