titleOfInvention | DERIVATIVES OF ACID N, N'-DI (2-HIDROXIBENCIL) ETILENDIAMINA-N, N'-DIACETIC, ITS APPLICATION, ITS EMPLOYMENT, PROCEDURE TO PREPARE THEM AND PREPARATIONS FOR THESE DERIVATIVES. |
abstract | Derivatives of N, N-di (2-hydroxybenzyl) ethylenediamine-N, N-diacetic acid of the formula (I) are described, in which R1 is hydrogen or acyl; R2 is OR3 or NR4R5; R3 is lower alkyl, lower cycloalkyl, lower alkoxy-lower alkyl, lower alkoxy-carbonyl-lower alkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted lower alkoxycarboxy-lower alkyl; R4 and R5, independently of one another, are hydrogen, or substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl; R6 and R7 independently of one another are hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R8 and R9 individually are hydrogen, or together n-butylene; and you leave them. The compounds have valuable pharmaceutical properties and are particularly active as iron chelators. They can be used to treat excess iron in the body of warm-blooded beings. In addition, the application and use of said derivatives, the procedure to obtain them and pharmaceutical preparations containing them are described. |
