Use of the 2-phenyl-3-benzoyl benzothiophene compounds of formula (II) where R1 is independently -H, -OH, -O (C1-4 alkyl), -OCO-alkyl -OCOC6H5 or -OSO2 (C4-C6 I rent); and R2 is 1-piperidinyl, 1-pyrrolidinyl, methyl-1-pyrrolidinyl, dimethyl-1-pyrrolidinyl, 4-morpholino, dimethylamino, diethylamino-hexamethyleneimino and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, characterized in that it comprises the preparation of drugs useful to minimize the effects of bone loss when compounds of formula (I) are administered where R is -CH2CON (CH3) -n-CH2-CH2CH2CH3 or -SO (CH2) 3CF2CF3, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. |
