abstract The present invention relates to 7- [1alpha, 5alpha, 6alpha] -6-amino -3-azabicyclo [3.1.0] hex-3-yl-6-fluoro-1- (2,4-difluorophenyl) -1 acid. , 4-dihydro-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid, salt of methanesulfonic acid, which presents the following main points in its X-ray powder diffraction pattern (see attached table). 7 - ([1alpha, 5alpha, 6alpha] -6-amino-3-azabicyclo [3.1.0] hex-3-yl) -6-fluoro-1- (2,4-difluorophenyl) -1 acid anhydrate, 4-dihydro-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic, salt of methanesulfonic acid, has an advantageous stability for its formulation as an antibacterial agent.A process for the preparation of such a compound is also referred to comprises heating 7 - ([1alpha, 5a, 6alpha] -6-amino-3-azabicyclo [3.1.0] -hex-3-yl) -6-fluoro-1- (2,4-difluorophenyl) -1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid, salt of methanesulfonic acid or its derivative monohydrate, in the presence of an alcohol or a mixture thereof with an aprotic solvent. It also refers to a pharmaceutical composition with antibacterial activity comprising such a compound.
