titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMINOETHYLETHANOLAMINE AND / OR N-HYDROXYETHYL PIPERAZINE
abstract This is a method of producing an ethylenediamine derivative with the formula: HOC2H4N (R1) .C2H4.NHR, where R1 and R2 are both hydrogen or R1 and R2 together signify the divalent group -C2H4- from ethylene oxide present cia of a catalyst with the following characteristics: a) to react the ethylenediamine derivative continuously, with 0.05-0.5 mol of ethylene oxide for each mol of ethylenediamine derivative; b) introducing the ethoxylation product stream into a distillation plant capable of processing an amination product stream resulting from the reaction of monoethanolamine with ammonia, and c) distilling the ethoxylation product stream into the distillation plant at the same time as recovers the ethylenediamine derivative defined above.
