abstract A composition for increasing seedling development of a non-aromatic polyorganic acid, soluble in water or salts thereof, which is a polyamino acid selected from the group consisting of polyaspartic acid, polyglutamic acid, polyglycine, polylysine, a copolymer decysteine, and glutamic acid, and a terpolymer of cysteine, glutamic acid, and aspartic acid, said polyamino acid having a molecular weight greater than 1,500 in combination with an acceptable seed carrier. In addition, a method to increase the development of seedlings is disclosed, which includes applying said composition to seeds of agricultural crops, thus decreasing the germination time, and increasing the speed of development of seedlings.
